How should I send my child's medication?
All prescription medication must be in the original container as
dispensed by pharmacy, and must be for that camper, as per College of
Nurses medical guidelines. Medication must be turned into the camp
nurse immediately upon arrival. Campers are discouraged from bringing
over-the-counter medication. The Camp Nurse will provide these if
necessary. Please ensure your child is free-of-lice and/or other
communicable ailments before coming to camp. Campers are checked for
lice when they arrive at camp; parents are required to come to get
their child if lice and/or nits are found. When the camper has been
treated, nit-picked, and all linens/clothing etc. cleaned as per the
Camp nurse’s instructions, the camper may return to be reexamined. If
lice/nit free, they are welcomed back into the program. Camp ABK is
responsible for First Aid only.
